The following shows the procedure for the [Both Sides Adjust].
Checking the reference position of the printing side .
To determine the misalignment of printing position, the adjustment of the reference position required on the main body side must be completed.
Before performing the [Both Sides Adjust], check the adjusted value of the reference position and make adjustment as needed.
The following items of [Adjustment] - [Machine Adjustment] - [Printer Adjustment] on the [MACHINE] screen are adjustment items that need to be checked:

The adjustment can be made by either of the following four methods:
[Scan Meas.] adjustment: the method used for scanning both sides of an adjustment chart using the scanner functions of this machine and automatically making both side adjustment.->Scan Meas. adjustment
[Scan Meas.] requires the front-side adjustment depending on the firmware version. For details, contact your service representative.
[Gap] adjustment: the method used for aligning both sides with correction of the back side magnification and print position based on the front side ones.->Gap adjustment
[Chart Adjustment]: the method used for aligning both sides with correction of the magnification and print position of both front and back side.->Chart Adjustment
[Zoom]/[Image Shift] adjustment: the method used for fine adjustment after [Scan Meas.] adjustment, [Gap] adjustment, or [Chart Adjustment], or the method used when the amount of misalignment between both sides is figured out.->Zoom/Image Shift Adjustment
You need not perform both of the [Scan Meas.] and [Gap] adjustment.
You can change the default screen of the [Both Sides Adjust] screen. For details, contact your service representative.
If the paper is bent or wrinkled when printing, adjust the [Registration Loop] amount before performing [Scan Meas.] adjustment, [Gap] adjustment, [Chart Adjustment] or the [Zoom]/[Image Shift] adjustment. For details, refer to Adjustment of Registration Loop.
