Universal printing is a function that enables execution of print jobs, which have been sent from the computer and stored in the MFP, by any MFP in a universal print group, which consists of multiple MFPs.
Installing the universal print function provides the following benefits.
The size of the remaining print jobs can be reduced, thereby reducing printing costs and enhancing security.
No print server is required, which reduces equipment costs and administrator load.
Print jobs stored in a target MFP can be executed from another MFP, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.
Universal printing allows you to use the storage function to store print jobs and the client function to execute print jobs on all MFPs that make up a universal print group.

The client function for universal printing is available when the optional i-Option LK-114 is installed while the Web browser function is enabled. When the optional Extension Memory is installed, this function is available regardless of whether the Web browser function is enabled or disabled.
The optional Extension Memory and i-Option LK-114 are required to use the storage function for universal printing.
The universal print function may not be available in some areas.
The PCL driver and PS driver are the only available drivers for universal printing.
To make prints using the universal print function, you need to place its shortcut key on the main menu of the MFP with the client function enabled. For details on how to place a shortcut key on the main menu, refer to Here.
