Creating a Universal Print Group

Create a universal print group on an MFP that is not set to universal printing.

Up to 10 MFPs can be specified in one universal print group. Multiple universal print groups can be created.

  1. Click [Create a Group].

  2. Enter the name of the universal print group in [Group name], select the check box of the MFP to be set to a universal print group, then click [OK].

  3. Enter the MFP administrator password and the OpenAPI user name and password, then click [OK].

    • When not using the user name and password for OpenAPI authentication, only enter the administrator password.

    A universal print group is created.

  4. Click [Close].

  • A universal print group cannot be structured over WAN.

  • The default administrator password and the default OpenAPI user name and password can be pre-specified in [Administrator Settings] of LK-114_SetupTool. For details, refer to Here.

  • To compose a universal print group of different models, you need to permit the Quick Authentication for Printing function. For details on how to permit the Quick Authentication for Printing function, refer to Here.
