Specify Settings of Color Conversion

Specify the Color Conversion setting to use as default for the Color Configuration you create.

  1. From the tree view on the [Color Configuration Management] screen, double-click the color configuration that you wish to display the detail information.

    The details are displayed on the right side of the screen.

  2. Click [Setting] in the Color Conversion Option Settings at the bottom of the detail information fields.

    [Color Conversion Setttings] screen is displayed.

  3. Select the setting of Pure Black from [Pure Black].

  4. To use gray replacement, select from [Gray Replacement (RGB)] and [Gray Replacement (CMYK)].

  5. To use black overprint, check [Black Overprint].

  6. Select the setting of Composite Overprint from [Composite Overprint].

  7. To use embedded RGB profile, check [Use Embedded RGB Profile].

    • It performs color conversion by using profiles that are embedded in objects in print data.
      Select it when you print by using a profile that you assign on an application (example: Adobe Photoshop).

  8. To use embedded CMYK profile, check [Use Embedded CMYK Profile].

    • It performs color conversion by using profiles that are embedded in objects in print data.
      Select it when you print by using a profile that you assign on an application (example: Adobe Photoshop).

  9. To use output intent of PDF/X, select [PDF/X output intent].

  10. To use spot color, check [Use Spot Color].

  11. To execute alternative color conversion, check [Use Alternative Color Conversion].

  12. To use the RGB simulation, check [RGB Simulation].

  13. To use tone curve adjustment, select an option from [Tone Curve Adjustment].

    • When individual adjustment of tone curve is enabled, set [Tone Curve (Image)] and [Tone Curve (Text/Graphic)].

  14. If necessary, enter the description to [Memo].

  15. Click [OK] and return to [Color Configuration Management] screen.
