[Print with Black]

[All], [Text only], [Text And Graphics]

Prevents faint printing of colored text, lines and figures according to the selected settings.

[Quality Adjustment]

Set this to adjust the image quality. For details, refer to "Quality Adjustment" shown below.

[Fine line printing Settings]

Configure an outline setting. For details, refer to "Fine line printing Settings" shown below.

[Resolution]

[1200dpi (High Quality)], [600dpi (High Quality)]

[1200dpi (Standard)], [600dpi (Standard)]

Select a resolution for printing.

In only case of using Acrobat, the printing quality becomes higher than [Standard] by selecting [High Quality].

However, the speed becomes slow a little.

[Pattern]

[Fine], [Coarse]

Specify fineness of the graphic patterns.

[Toner Save]

Off, On

Specify the print density.

It corresponds with [Quality Adjustment] - [-2].

[Draft Print]

Off, On

Specify the print density.

It corresponds with [Quality Adjustment] - [-4].

[Font Setting]

Specify the font settings.

[Acquire Device Information]

Acquires device information of this machine.

[Screen (Image)]

[Screen 1], [Screen 2], [Stochastic]

Selects screen group set for image object. The screen type set in Custom Screen (*) on the [touch panel] of the main body is assigned to the selected screen group. Also, image reproducibility changes by screens. Select a screen suitable for the required image quality.

[Screen (Text/Graphics)]

[Screen1], [Screen2], [Same as Image]

Select a screen group set for text and image (text image) objects. The screen type set in Custom Screen (*) on the [touch panel] of the main body is assigned to the selected screen group. Also, text and graphic reproducibility changes by screens. Select a screen suitable for the required image quality.

[Restore Device Status]

-

Applies the device status to the driver.

[Tone Curve (Image)]

[No Setting], [Brightness+10%], [Brightness+20%], [Brightness-10%], [Brightness-20%], [Contrast+10%], [Contrast+20%], [Contrast-10%], [Contrast-20%], [Density-10%], [Density-15%]

Calls tone curve information of images registered in the image controller.

[Tone Curve (Text/Graphics)]

[No Setting], [Brightness+10%], [Brightness+20%], [Brightness-10%], [Brightness-20%], [Contrast+10%], [Contrast+20%], [Contrast-10%], [Contrast-20%], [Density-10%], [Density-15%], [Same as Image]

Calls tone curve information of texts or images registered in the image controller.

[Keep 100% Density for Text/Graphics]

Off, On

Specify this option to output texts and graphics objects with the highest density of this machine regardless of the tone curve setting.

[Density]

[-5 to 0], [+1]

Specify the print density. Move the slider toward plus to deepen the density and move the slider toward minus to lighten the density.

*[Custom Screen] can be set from Utility Menu by selecting [Administrator Setting] - [System Setting] - [Expert Adjustment] - [Quality Adjustment] - [Custom Screen].

Outline Process

[Smoothing]

Off, On

When turned on, you can smoothly print the outline of text with density of 100%, such as K=100%, and line images.

[Thinning]

Off, On

Select this to control the boldness of the text or line images. This setting also has an effect on white characters on a colored background.

[Emphasis]

Off, On

Set this to enable the outline emphasizing function.

[Fine line area]

Select the process area for outline settings.

[Use Printer Fonts]

The speed can be increased by using printer fonts.

However, the data image and the print result may be different because it prints replacing with printer fonts.

When you use True Type fonts, you can get the same print result with the data image because data of True Type fonts you used is transferred directly to the printer.

[True Type Font Substitution Table]

Displays the list contains True Type Font and Printer Font to use/not to use.

[Printer Font to Use]

-

Specify whether you replace the selected font in the True Type Font Substitution Table or not.
